Ideas

Tchaikovsky

After reading about the original Tchaikovsky Flute Concerto sketches, Stathis found parts of them. He presented them to Gergiev and Shchedrin who wanted to reconstruct and present it on tour. Unfortunately, the war broke out. Pletnev has shown interest and we could approach Lera Auerbach. Stathis’ idea was to ultimately create 7 versions with a composer from each continent.

After long attempts, he discovered it to be the Secondo Concerto by Morricone which was only once played and never recorded. He was supposed to record it for Harmonia Mundi with the HRSO, Bruno Philippe and Christoph Eschenbach in 2020, but the project died because of Corona.
